허리케인 김치 또는 히지 양은 서울에 기반을 두고 활동하는 한국인 퀴어 아티스트이자 활동가 입니다. 2011년부터 서울퀴어문화축제에 참여해 왔으며 대구, 제주, 경남, 인천 지역의 퀴어문화축제 무대에서 또한 공연을 선보인 바 있습니다. 해외에서는 미국의 뉴욕, 영국의 런던, 노르웨이의 오슬로, 덴마크의 코펜하겐에서 공연 주최 및 참여 경험이 있으며, 2018년에는 포브스가 선정한 아시아에서 영향력 있는 30세 이하의 30인 예술인 분야에 선정되었습니다.

알리 자후 (공동설립자, 운영감독)

알리 자후는 마케팅, 번역, 그리고 행사 기획을 전문으로 하는 프리랜서로, 한국의 고려대학교와 연세대학교에서 공부하여 퀴어 이주(migration)에 초점을 두고 국제 관계학 석사 과정을 수료하였습니다. 영어, 한국어, 중국어, 독일어를 구사하는 그는 서울드랙퍼레이드의 국제 활동에 있어 중추가 되는 역할을 하고 있으며, 공연과 케이팝 업계에서 오랜 시간 종사한 배경 또한 가지고 있습니다. 그는 한국의 다양한 지역의 퀴어문화축제에 참여해오고 있음을 물론, 모국인 영국 여러 지역의 프라이드 행사에도 참여하여 지식과 경험을 쌓은 활동가입니다.

사프론 레인 (자문인, 콜라보레이션 매니저)

사프론 레인은 크래시 랜디드와 화이트라이즈 벌레스크라는 팀에 소속되어 수많은 공연과 워크샵 등을 주최한 드랙킹이자 벌레스크 퍼포머입니다. 사프론 레인은 서울 퀴어문화축제와 드랙킹 콘테스트를 비롯해 수많은 크고 작은 다양한 무대에 선 경험이 있으며, 드랙 채플, 드랙 브런치, 드랙 서퍼 등의 행사를 열어 다양한 아티스트들에게 설 자리를 제공하기도 합니다. 그는 이미 서울 핑크닷과 워크 더 월드 투어의 내한 공연때에 서울드랙퍼레이드와 협업을 한 경험이 있으며, 이제는 공식적으로 서울드랙퍼레이드의 일원으로서 함께하게 되었습니다.

범범 (어시스턴트)

연세대학교 언더우드 국제대학을 졸업하고 국제 행사 운영 분야에서 일하고 있는 범범은 평소 성소수자 인권문제와 퀴어 문화에 관심이 많아 서울드랙퍼레이드에 어시스턴트로 함께하게 되었습니다. 국제회의 운영요원으로 일하면서 통역, 의전, 안내 등의 업무 맡아온 풍부한 경험을 바탕으로 서울드랙퍼레이드의 행사와 관련해 다양한 부분에서 도움을 제공하고 있습니다.

Hurricane Kimchi/ Heezy Yang (Co-Founder, Chief Organiser)

Hurricane Kimchi, also known as Heezy Yang, is a Seoul-born Korean queer artist and activist. He has been actively participating in Seoul pride (officially known as the Seoul Queer Culture Festival), since 2011, and has also performed at Korea’s regional pride parades in Daegu, Jeju, Kyungnam, and Incheon. He has experience of hosting shows and performing overseas as well – in New York, London, Oslo, and Copenhagen. In 2018, he has been selected to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list as an artist.

Ali Zahoor (Co-Founder, Supervisor)

Ali Zahoor is a freelancer, specialising in marketing, translation, and events organisation. He has spent many years in South Korea and attended Korea University and Yonsei University, where he completed a postgraduate degree with a focus on queer migration. He has proficiency in English, Korean, Chinese, and German, and has performance experience from working in the K-pop industry for several years and acting in British dramas, including EastEnders. He has been a long-time activist, actively participating in Queer Culture Festivals and other human rights movements across the UK and South Korea.

Saffron Reign (Adviser, Collaborative Project Manager)

As a drag king and burlesque performer with Crash Landed and WhiteLies Burlesque, Saffron Reign has performed in and produced countless shows, workshops, and other events for the queer performance community in Seoul, including the Seoul Queer Culture Festival and the Drag King Contest. Saffron Reign has helped to organise workshops, and other various events like Drag Chapel, Drag Brunch, and Drag Supper to provide artists platforms to share their art. They have also had the honour of performing with Seoul Drag Parade at events like Pink Dot Seoul and Werq the World Seoul show, and they are thrilled to join the team as an advisor and collaborator.

BumBum (Assistant)

BumBum graduated Underwood International College of Yonsei University, and has been working in the for various international events. With an interest in LGBTQ rights and culture, he joined Seoul Drag Parade as an assistant. He has a plenty of experience in working as a staff member in international conferences and exhibitions. With the experiences in greeting and escorting people, and interpreting for foreign delegates, he has been providing a lot of help in many parts of Seoul Drag Parade’s events.
